Bella Pelle means "beautiful skin" in Italian. It is a company owned and founded by two local NMC registered nurses. The main objective of Bella Pelle is to offer quality non surgical cosmetic treatments at an affordable price and to allow you to love the skin you're in!
Kelly Hudson and Rebecca Lunn both obtained their nursing qualifications at the university of Huddersfield and then went on to train in aesthetic treatments together with a company called Medics Direct.
Facial lines and wrinkles appear over time from years of creating everyday facial expressions such as frowning, smiling or raising our eyebrows. Some are luckier than others! If you are looking to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles and prevent reoccurance then our Botox and Dermal Filler treatments might be for you!
Botox is a prescription medication injected into the facial muscles to improve the appearance of moderate-severe frown lines and wrinkles.
It can be administered to 16-65 year olds and works by relaxing the muscles of the face, preventing over use. This allows the skin to smooth out and "de-crease". This treatment lasts for a couple of months.
As with any medication there can be side effects to Botox, common side effects include:
Localised skin reactions, i.e bruising, swelling, itching etc.
Allergic reaction
Headache
Nausea
Facial Drooping
Flu like symptons 1,2
However 93% of people suffer no adverse reaction to Botox 3
Dermal Fillers work differently. This too is a prescription medication that is used to soften the appearance of lines by plumping out the affected area . The treatment lasts longer than Botox but unlike Botox it doesnt prevent reoccurrence. Dermal Fillers can also be used to add volume and definition to the lips.
Side effects of temporary dermal fillers include:
Localised skin reactions, i.e bruising, swelling, itching etc.
Skin nodules (due ton poor technique)
Allergic reaction 4
